Today i walked in the rain to senoir center where i changed the whitebroads with todays activities. Then i tried to find out if the Simon Cunningham students were coming today but they cancelled so i had to change the boards again to correct then. The first thing we were doing today was bowling after that i took the seniors upstairs for lunch. we played bingo and then i changed the boards once again for tomorrows activities. Then at 2.30 i left for home.
Fifth Day - May 15, 2009
Today i was a little early for work but it was okay because Karen my supervisor forgot to change the activity boards so i quicky changed them to todays activity. Then i want upstairs to gather the seniors for fun and fitness. When we were finished the exercises i helped the other volunteer set up the lunch table for the seniors that were going on a bus trip with me and my other supervisor Bilkeys. Round 12:30 we want on a trip to white rock and some ice cream when we arrived back to Bear Creek it was 4:00. So i helped some of the seniors to there rooms and then changed the activity board both on the main and upstairs floor.
Frist Day - May 11, 2009
Today I started my day at Queen Elizabeth by helping Ms. Nunn, Mr.tong and a few other teachers by doing little chores like putting breakers and test tubes into the dishwasher and putting up posters in the hallway. I have to go to school everyday before i go to the actual placement because they dont have that many seniors living at the senior center which made then have to shorterned the hours so i have to work at school to make up for the lost hours from 8am -10am. When I arrived at Bear Creek I started my day by completeing the workplace stafety worksheet and getting a tour of the place. Then i helped with the recreational activities which were all time.
10:30 am - Fun & Fitness
11.00 am - Coffee Service
01.00 pm - Bingo
02.00 pm - Afternoon Social
I ended the day by going around and changing the whiteboards with the activities for tomorrow.
